BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A routine call for a suspicious vehicle at a local gas station led Berkeley County deputies to recover multiple firearms, including one confirmed stolen out of North Carolina, authorities said Thursday.

Jamal Tre’von Fulton, 23, of Kingstree, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm after deputies responded to a report of a gold Honda sedan parked for nearly two hours at the Spinx station near Highway 78 and College Park Road.

When deputies arrived on January 14, they detected the odor of marijuana and asked the occupants to exit the vehicle. As Fulton stepped out, a handgun reportedly fell from his jacket. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered two more firearms, including a black Glock 21 with a red-dot optic that had been reported stolen in Cumberland, North Carolina.
