GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Two Goose Creek men are facing serious charges after police say an armed robbery and shooting incident unfolded early Saturday morning near a residential party in North Charleston.
According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers were patrolling around 1:25 a.m. near Lambert and Bexley streets when they noticed an unusual amount of vehicle and foot traffic in the area. While checking the situation, an officer reported hearing a gunshot coming from the intersection and saw a man running east along Bexley Street before losing sight of him.

Moments later, the officer observed a vehicle speeding toward Spruill Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. During the encounter, the driver acknowledged there was a firearm in the glove compartment. Both occupants were detained while officers searched the vehicle.
Police say three handguns were recovered during the stop — one inside the glove compartment and two more on the rear passenger-side floorboard.
As the investigation continued, officers said they learned an Airbnb gathering was taking place at a nearby home on Bexley Street. The victim told police he had been standing outside when two men approached him. One suspect reportedly reached into the victim’s coveralls and removed a handgun, while the second suspect took another firearm and fired a single shot before both fled the scene.
Authorities said the victim was not injured.

Christopher Jack-Lewis Hodge, 20, of Goose Creek, was charged with armed robbery, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The second suspect, identified as 20-year-old Syrus Eddie James Gadsden, also of Goose Creek, was charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Both men were transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
