BONNEAU, S.C. — A 34-year-old Moncks Corner woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning along North Highway 52 in Bonneau, authorities said.
According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 2:18 a.m. when a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene.

Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell identified the victim as Jeaniettra Avonne Jones. She was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle involved.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, Berkeley County EMS, and North Berkeley Fire & Rescue.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
