BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – According to Berkeley County School District officials, based on forecasts from the National Weather Service and the strong advisement of the Berkeley County Supervisor, Bill Peagler, for residents in Jamestown and surrounding areas to leave their homes due to localized flooding, schools in the Timberland High School feeder pattern will dismiss one hour early, tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2015. Timberland High School will then begin to receive evacuees for residents of Jamestown beginning at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2015.
Schools in the Timberland High School feeder pattern who will be dismissing one-hour early are as follows:
· J.K. Gourdin Elementary School
· H.E. Bonner Elementary School
· Macedonia Middle School
· St. Stephen Elementary School
· St. Stephen Middle School
· Timberland High School
The shelter at Timberland High School will open at 5:00 p.m. Timberland High School will continue to operate next week as a school and as a shelter, simultaneously, until the crisis is over.
