BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A man died following a single-vehicle crash in Ridgeville on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
The crash happened on Gilliard Road.
The victim, who was the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries sustained in the collision.
The victim was positively identified as Fred Hefner, 57, from Holly Hill.
Berkeley County EMS, Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office, and the Pineridge Fire Department responded to the incident.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
