Get Ready, Goose Creek: Roadwork Shakes Up Commutes April 29–May 2

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Drivers in the Goose Creek area should prepare for lane closures and potential delays as construction crews begin paving several local roads this week.

From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Tuesday, April 29, through Friday, May 2, crews are scheduled to pave the following roads:

  • Barrie Court
  • Isherwood Drive
  • Monsarret Lane
  • Abbey Lane
  • Dover Court
  • Westhall Court

Lane closures with flagging operations will be in place to maintain at least one lane of traffic around work areas. Flaggers will assist with directing vehicles entering and exiting the neighborhoods.

Residents are asked to adhere to all posted construction signs and message boards in the area and are strongly encouraged to refrain from parking on the street during paving operations.

This work is part of the 2024 Berkeley County One Cent Sales Tax Resurfacing Project and the 2024 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Local Roads Resurfacing Project. The projects are aimed at improving local infrastructure across the county.
