Wilson was charged on Feb. 28, 2026, and booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center, according to officials.
According to arrest warrants, investigators say Wilson was found knowingly in possession of multiple stolen vehicles on July 6, 2023, several of which had their vehicle identification numbers (VINs) altered to conceal the vehiclesโ true origins.
Among the vehicles investigators say Wilson possessed:
- 2004 Ford F-350 โ Reported stolen Nov. 26, 2020, through the Horry County Police Department. Investigators say the publicly displayed VIN had been replaced with a fraudulent number identifying the truck as a 2003 Ford F-250.
- 2017 Dodge Challenger โ Reported stolen from the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office in Kingstree. Authorities say the vehicleโs VIN was altered to identify it as a 2016 Dodge Challenger.
- 2003 Ford E-250 van โ Reported stolen Nov. 16, 2020, through the Horry County Police Department. Investigators say its VIN had also been replaced with a fraudulent number.
- 2005 Ford F-350 – Reported stolen on June 3, 2022, through the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the vehicleโs VIN was altered to identify it as a 2003 Ford F-350.
Authorities say the VIN alterations were allegedly made to disguise the vehiclesโ true identities and prevent them from being traced as stolen.
The investigation was conducted by SLED. The case will be prosecuted by the Ninth Circuit Solicitorโs Office.
Officials have not released additional details about the investigation. As with all criminal cases, the charges against Wilson are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
