ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–On Feb. 29, at 9:45 p.m., a pedestrian, Daniel Ford, 43,of St. Stephen, was crossing highway 52 several miles south of St. Stephen, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury stated.
Salisbury said Ford was struck by a southbound vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
The coroner stated that Ford was wearing dark colored clothing.
The pedestrian’s death was ruled accidental and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
