Woman Wanted For Fatal Apartment Shooting In Summerville: Deputies

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a woman who is wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in Nexton on Friday, July 8.

Jennifer Mae Todus, 34, currently has warrants for murder, deputies said.

On Friday, July 8, deputies responded to The Isaac Apartments at 195 North Creek Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival on scene, deputies said they discovered a young man dead at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Caleb Mitchell, 20, of Summerville.

Deputies said Mitchell was shot following a fight at the apartment complex pool. It’s not clear what prompted the fight, however, friends said he was trying to protect his youngest brother when a bullet struck him.

According to the sheriff’s office, Todus is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.
