Republican Presidential Preference Primary Early Voting: What Berkeley County Voters Need To Know

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – South Carolina’s Republican Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election is Saturday, February 24. The Early Voting Period for the Republican PPP is Monday, February 12 through Thursday, February 22.

During that timeframe, the following locations will be open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for registered Berkeley County voters (locations will be CLOSED February 18 – 19):

  • Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections: 1003 N. Highway 52, Moncks Corner, 29461
  • Hanahan Library: 1216 Old Murray Court, Hanahan, 29410
  • St. Stephen Library: 113 Ravenell Drive, St. Stephen, 29479

*You must have your photo ID to vote (or a voter registration card with photo). View photo ID requirements HERE. A person may only vote in one primary election. The Democratic PPP took place February 3. If you voted in the Democratic PPP, you cannot vote in the Republican PPP.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS: The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the Republican PPP is February 13. Individuals may request an absentee ballot in one of three ways.

  • In-person at Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections: 1003 N. Highway. 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
  • By calling 843-719-4058
  • By mailing Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections, P.O. Box 6122, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
