Berkeley County Deputies Search for Man After Wild Pursuit

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County deputies are asking for the publicโ€™s help in locating Jeffrey Strickland after he fled from a traffic stop earlier this week.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle Strickland was driving on Wednesday. Instead of stopping, Strickland allegedly led them on a pursuit that ended when he drove off-road onto a trail in the Windwood area and then fled into nearby woods on foot.

Stricklandโ€™s passenger, identified as his uncle, cooperated with deputies and revealed that his nephew didnโ€™t stop because he has multiple outstanding warrants. The uncle also claimed that when he asked to be let out of the vehicle during the chase, Strickland told him to โ€œshut the [expletive] up.โ€
