Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Street in St. Stephen

ambulance ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–On Feb. 29, at 9:45 p.m., a pedestrian, Daniel Ford, 43,of St. Stephen, was crossing highway 52 several miles south of St. Stephen, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury stated.

Salisbury said Ford was struck by a southbound vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.

The coroner stated that Ford was wearing dark colored clothing.

The pedestrian’s death was ruled accidental and the Berkeley County Coronerโ€™s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
