BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A popular barbeque restaurant in Moncks Corner announced Wednesday that it has permanently closed. Located off Hwy. 52 in the heart of town, A&M Brown’s Bar-B-Que has shut down after 21 years in business.

The closing of the family-owned restaurant came as a surprise to many customers saddened to see it close.

“Sad to see this wonderful establishment with its delicious food go. Abby and Mike, thank you for your many years, your dedication and commitment to always serve your customers well, most of all your friendships,” posted one customer to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“We are going to miss y’all so much! Your food was our favorite,” wrote another customer.

Since 2000, A&M Brown’s Bar-B-Que served up delicious, pit-cooked bar-b-que accompanied by a variety of southern sides like macaroni and cheese, white rice, green beans, hash, sweet potatoes, meat loaf, mashed potatoes and more.

The closing of A&M Brown’s Bar-B-Que now leaves only one other barbeque, buffet-style restaurant in town, Music Man’s Barbeque.
