MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The owner of a popular barbeque restaurant in the heart of downtown Moncks Corner has died.
According to Music Man’s BBQ, its owner, Gene Cribb, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning with his family by his side. He was 77 years old.
Cribb’s memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, which is at 107 W. Main Street in Moncks Corner on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 5:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the hour of service.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605, or Cordesville Baptist Church, 1913 South Carolina Highway 402, Moncks Corner, South Carolina 29461.
The restaurant will be closed through Wednesday as employees, friends and family mourn his loss. The restaurant will re-open Thursday at 11 a.m.
The restaurant is located at 112 State Rd S-8-225 in Moncks Corner.
