School District confirmed that shortly before noon, Berkeley Elementary and Berkley High School were placed on lockdown after a suspicious person was reported in the surrounding area. BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—On Thursday, Amy Kovach appeared inside a general sessions courtroom in Moncks Corner, charged with an ethics violation. According to a spokesperson for the South Carolina Attorney General, Kovach is accused of abusing public funds to influence the outcome of an election during the “Yes 4 Schools” campaign.
